I am a CPA who spent several years in tax in public accounting. I recently changed jobs and now work for a large law firm doing tax planning in the estate planning department. The work is spread more evenly through the year and the hours are civilized. Tax planning is a great area to move into once you have a few years compliance experience. |

I am about to start as a graduate in a Big 5 firm in their tax department, having completed both business & law degrees.
Are there many people who move into areas other than tax after a few years, and what are they? eg, do many people move to corporate law successfully?
