Forensic Accounting as a career |

So I'm 33 and I've been working in the mortgage business for the last 4.5 years. I'm strongly considering taking the CPA exam, luckily I have the 150 credit hours.
What are the prospects of working in forensic accounting with limited job experience? I do have 2 years experience as an accountant for a Univ Endowment and 2 years as a financial analyst for a bank.
Also, what is forensic accounting like? Salary? Typical work week?
