Does anyone know of any good books/guides that can give me a good background on auditing and assurance? (besides textbooks)
I will be an intern with a Big Four firm in the summer for audit, but I have not taken any audit classes yet. |

Hi,
Congrats on getting an internship!
I interned last summer with a one of the top 8 firms.
Out of 12 interns in my office I was the only one who had previously taken an audit course. I did not feel like I had any advantage over the other interns (we were all equally overwhelmed! haha).
Most firms don't expect their interns to know anything about auditing. They only expect you to be willing to learn.
