In Reply To: When I took the exam (almost 15 yrs ago), you could take the exam your last semester as long as the classes you were enrolled in would (1) provide you with the hours needed to meet the requirements and (2) provide you with the minimum acctg, business law, speech, etc. hours that were required. Also, at that time, you could not sit for parts of the exam. You had to sit for the entire exam or not at all. Based on your message, it appears you will be short meeting the minimum credit hours requirement. Can anyone provide an update as to whether this is still the case or not?
Message: Unless I am mistaken, you are allowed to take 1 part at a time if you wish, you are not required to take all 4 or even 2 at a time. However, a growing trend I hear is to study for 2 exams at once and take them a week apart, just to make the most of your alloted study time. Also, take note please that once you pass the 1st portion of the exam you choose to take, you have up until 6 months from that date to pass the next exam you choose, and the following 2 sets of 6 months (a year) to finish off the other 2. If you do not pass the next portion within the 6 month time period, the exam you passed will be nullified, and you will have to take that part over again. With that, I've been suggested by friends who have taken the exam (I have yet to take any, will apply in January) to take the hardest part first, which is a tossup between FARS and tax, so atleast you have the hardest test completed and can then proceed onwards with the easier tests. Hope that helps
