In Reply To: I graduated from college back in 2003 with a business admin degree, and have worked at banks as accountant past few years. I started taking accounting courses to satisfy CPA exam requirement about two years ago and will be done this March. I would like to join a Big 4 some time this year. Due to my position, my opportunity to network with Big 4 is lacking compared to college students. I did join AICPA recently in hopes of attending some meetings, and I am planning to attend a regional annual student night sponsored by ASWA. My question: How effective is cold calling in recruiting process? Any advices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Message: I think if you find the right HR hiring mgr. or find someone at the company that you would work with, calling in is a great idea. I'm always impressed when people find me from our website and already have an idea of what they want to work on and where. Send a resume. I'll try to help. JLeedsGT@aol.com Good luck, JLGT33
