In Reply To: I am an M.S. accounting fresh graduate and got an offer from a regional CPA firm(top 50, 10 offices, 400 people). Any one can tell me the possibility to transfer to Big 4 or other big national firm after two years? Is it common for Big 4 to recuite seniors from regional firms? Which one make me easier to enter Big 4 later, regional firm or consulting firm? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.
Message: I know 2 experience hires (audit) who came from smaller CPA firms and they entered as 2nd years in my office. I don't know whether the Big Four firms are more likely to recruit staff or seniors from regional firms. Maybe someone can answer that. However, I would think it is a common practice for them to hire senior-level people given the high industry turnover rate.
