Do you work in TS? Is the pay more in line with consulting also (Like 60 base and about 10 bonus)?
So how many days a week are you traveling? How about on average per month?
Can you get hired directly into TS out of undergrad? Do they recruit differntly than for audit/tax? |

Unfortunately, I do not work in TS (I'm in audit) but I've worked with former TS managers and know some senior associates in the practice. So I know a few things but I can't say firsthand, so take it for what it's worth.
I'm not too sure about salaries in TS (I'm assuming you're wondering what "first years" are paid) so your guess is as good as mine. I do know that TS pay relies a lot more on incentive comp/bonuses than does audit (meaning the bonuses are bigger) and I'm assuming the salaries are fairly comparable.
Regarding your question about being hired out of undergrad, my office does not hire directly out of school (although I've read on these boards that some offices do hire out of undergrad). The lowest level you start at (generally speaking) in my office is at senior associate, and they usually take people internally (i.e. audit folk who put their time in for 2-3 years at least). Many of my friends became senior associates in audit first before making the switch to TS.
