The hours are longer but what about travel? Is it much more than audit/tax or is it more like working in consulting? |

The travel is much more like consulting. Although your clients (the acquiring company) may be near your office, the target company could be anywhere.
Also, at the Big 4 I work for, there are only a few offices with transaction service departments that service a whole region.
