I had a similar question about tax versus audit travel. I like tax and I hate to travel, so do you think working as a tax accountant in a Big 4 company would not require any travel? Do you know which Big 4 that is (or all)?

I don't work for a Big 4, but the amount of travel required for "them" verusus "us" isn't going to be different. Odds of zero travel for tax are far far greater than for audit.
I'd say go with what you LIKE, rather than worry about whether you'll ever be out of town.
