Consider CPA |

I am interested in transitioning from an operations career to an accounting career. I have a BS in liberal arts, an MBA with a concentration in accounting and 12 years of work experience. I am concerned about my lack of an undergrad degree in accounting. I am interested in "industry" accounting (non-public); either accounting manager or internal auditor. Can anyone advise my best course of action, in terms of education? |

I'm sure you know that a CPA would be the best course however, that may require you to work in public accounting to gain the necessary audit experience. The CPA would outweight the BS degree. CIA could be another choice.
