In Reply To: Hi. I was a Poli Sci/Sociology major in college. Focused way too much on research thinking I would later get joint jd/mpa. After working for two years for the state. I realized law school is the last place I want to be. I rather like accounting. Yet in UG I never took a business course expect some international political economy classes. Heavy in statistics etc. But no calculus or other business courses. My question: Do I start over and try an accelerated BS/Macc 5 year program or take a few pre requisite courses and start a Masters program? If I start over, how important is the UG institution? I am leaning towards the University of Florida. I like the 3/2 program. The school also has a decent reputation. Should I aim higher?
Message: I have the option of returning to IU. It is higher ranked with a much more solid reputation than FL I believe. How important is the institution to placement? Do all degrees travel well? Or should you go to a school within the region you want to live?
