In Reply To: Accounting is not all that grand - but that's just a personal opinion. In all honesty, from what I can tell of our office, the heydays of attorneys is gone - not to say that there's no value to them (in tax). The groups where I see the most attorneys - International or State and Local Tax. You're not that old - there are plenty of ppl at our office who have done this as a second career (and are a lot older than you).
Message: I guess I was wondering if 27 is too old for the big four? Additionally, what are the starting salaries like? I'm in Chicago and I heard that 50,000 is about right.
