I agree the IB have to work 80+ hours, its very hard to get into the industry, but they get get fairly paid for their endless work
I've been hearing a larger range of big4 hours, ranging from about 45-70 hours a week. Thats a huge difference! Of course busy time needs to be considered, but....i'm saying on average in normal time, how many hours would an auditor work?

I've been at a Big 4 for four years - started right after I got my MACC. If I had known about my options, I would not have gone into the Big 4 Circus. If you have the choice between IB and Big 4 and you're unsure, I would try IB first. If that doesn't work out or you don't like it, Big 4 is always an option later on. But as of now, you have great offers you're passing up - and Big 4 is really not worth it. IB definitely leads you to a better career path, more informed ppl and although (maybe) crazy work hours, you at least have the pay.
