In some states you can have no experience and call yourself a CPA. In MA for instance if you pass the exam after completing the necesary educational requisites you will receive a non-reporting license.
Gain one year of public accounting experience after this and it can be converted to a reporting license. The difference is that a reporting license legally qualifies you to sign your name off on financial statements: a moot point as it usually takes more than a year for you to be in a position where you are a allowed to sign off. |

Do you know how long you can wait until you gain the experience in MA?
I met the requisites and I am preparing to pass the CPA exam in MA. However, I work in private corporate accounting. What is it going to be worthed my license in this case?
Thank you.
