In Reply To: I am currently an electronics tech for a fortune 500 company studying to for a BBA in Accounting. I will be required to take either the CMA or CFM test, to graduate. What are the job prospects (both salary and job descriptions) for each? What is the respectability-level of each. Finally, how important is getting the CPA and does it matter what the extra 30 credit hours are in? Any input would be greatly appreciated as it is rather confusing to one outside the business culture.
Message: I cannot tell you what the letters CPA behind my name have done for me. I took the test twice - hte first time I only passed one part then I passed all four at once. Everyone knows that the CPA test is the hardest test to pass. YES its harder then then bar. After passing I got a huge offer from a big public accounting firm and they offered me 20,000 more then I was making. Bottom line get your CPA - keep taking til you pass becuase it will make your life career wonderful
