Hi All,
I'm currently a graduate student at a top 10 macc program and will be going through recruiting in September(on-campus). I'm looking to head to Atlanta from my macc program but was told by my career services director that I have a "MUCH BETTER" chance in my hometown in New York because I am an older applicant and because my education and work experience has been developed there.
I am looking for advice and want to know if my age (28) is a factor in considering which location to choose and whether it will place me at a disadvantage.
Thanks. |

i have been working at a big 4 for a few years and started there right out of college. there are several ppl in our office that are "non-traditional" in that they are older, this is their second career...i dont think your age matters - go where you think you will be happy. just from a numbers perspective, the bigger/growing offices will probably be better as they are taking on more ppl. atlanta (my home office) is growing at a tremendous pace and from personal experience, isnt really looking at your age - moreso your education and how you fit into the office, your work ethic, etc. good luck.
