I have been out of college for almost 3yrs with a degree in accounting. I have worked in public firms throughout college, and did a year in an auditing firm after college. Since then I have spent the last two years working for a major insurance company in their tax dept. I was thinking of making the switch back to public to fulfill my req. for the CPA and further my knowledge. How hard do you think it will be for me to make the switch? How big of a pay cut do you think I will have to take? I currently work in Manhattan and would like to stay there. I am also currently making $50,000.
