Greetings all :)
December 2005 I will receive my MBA in accounting, (hurrah). I am now job hunting with dreams of joining a big 4. Once I am offered a position(I am thinking positive), how much money should I expect to receive? I read an article which stated that salaries range between $30-$60K. Who get's $60K? People with connections? Or is it based on geography?

Entry-level salaries in public accounting depend mainly on geography. They're based on the local market, and I don't think there's much (if any) ability to negotiate. As far as numbers, I think you'd see offers over $50,000 only in a few cities, like NYC.
Most students get these jobs through campus recruiting, so if you haven't already, you should definitely talk with the people in your b-school's career services office. They're probably the best source of information for you regarding your questions.
