and i'd have to stay long enough to get my CPA of course, though i'm guessing i could do this within 1 year. i'll be doing this instead of attending a top 10 law school, since i realized law sucks. would it be possible to get a CPA this fast assuming 1500+ SATs and 170+ LSAT scores? |

First, the CPA is usually 2 years experience in most states unless you have a masters, and then it is one year.
Second, after just 1 year in a big 4, you are not going to learn that much. Yes the big 4 firms look good on your resume, but if you lack the basic business knowledge not usually gained until you have been a professional for 4-5 years, how can you expect to move to a decent paying consulting job.
And finally, great paying consulting jobs are usually more hours than financial audit. I have friends that work for consulting firms and travel about 75% of the time or more.
You really need an MBA or JD to have fast career opportunities. Most people I know that have done well with just a CPA spent 6-10 years in a big 4 and then moved on to consulting or private with nice $100K+ salaries.
