In Reply To: I didn't get an accounting degree five years ago, I actually dropped out of college and went to work, returning last year and picked up an accounting degree. What is upsetting a bit is I know people end up getting offers from all four and I dind't even get interviews. Am I arrogant? Probably a bit, but not many people have a 790 GMAT score or a 3.97 accounting GPA. What may have hurt is (at the advice fo my career center) I left off most of my college activities because they were 6 years ago. I've taken off two years of work in the hopes of going Big Four, and with just two interviews there is a good chance I won't make the cut. And taht is a bit fustrating. I went and signed up for the actuarial exams in November in case I don't make the cut. It would be really sad to have blown the two years of accounting education and I'd really rather be an accountant. Anyone have any good experience with Spring Big Four recruiting?
Message: ...i had a friend who got shut out of all the big 4 interviews except for kpmg in the fall last year. Didn't get the kpmg job. He ended up interviewing and landing a job with PwC in the spring.
