I know that CPA license add significant value to a persons credentials, especially in private industry. It is basically a pre-requisite if you plan to make it to upper management taking the a finance route. I will have to disagree with nyc about no bonus or salary increase with passing though. My firm has already informed me that I will receive a salary increase for passing the exam. I wrote the post initially to get a better idea of what that would be...but i guess all firms dont offer it, or maybe it varies by office. |

Actually I inquired again about the raise, and NYC you were right, there is NO "formal" bonus or salary increase just for passing the exam. rather it does have implications on the speed you get promoted to the next level(staff-senior), especially if you pass all four parts early in your career. And, it is definately needed if you plan on making to manager level.
