This hurt. I have a bachelor's in biology, and am coming back to school to get a bachelor's in accounting. Doing the whole program in 3 semesters.
The first semester, I got a 4.0. I am now in the second semester and have joined the Accounting Students Organization and Beta Alpha Psi as a pledge.
I wanted to get an internship with Ernst & Young, the only Big 4 firm that interviews on campus at my school for internships. But I was denied an interview.
What did I do wrong? I have a 4.0 GPA in accounting and am in Beta Alpha Psi and ASA. What more can I do? (my overall GPA is a 3.1, but that is from a long time ago). I am 25 years old. |

Sorry for your woes, but considering what you wrote, chances are that it's not you per se as a candidate, but rather their low demand that cut you from other prospectives. Furthermore, I think that your credentials are impressive and will land you many other interviews, (though jobs, I cannot say).
I just wanted to know how you came back to school. As I understand it, you already graduated. Could one just show up to their alma mater and just take classes again? I ask because I plan on taking a year off and taking classes down the road, but I never knew other people that did it. Thanks.
