This hurt. I have a bachelor's in biology, and am coming back to school to get a bachelor's in accounting. Doing the whole program in 3 semesters.
The first semester, I got a 4.0. I am now in the second semester and have joined the Accounting Students Organization and Beta Alpha Psi as a pledge.
I wanted to get an internship with Ernst & Young, the only Big 4 firm that interviews on campus at my school for internships. But I was denied an interview.
What did I do wrong? I have a 4.0 GPA in accounting and am in Beta Alpha Psi and ASA. What more can I do? (my overall GPA is a 3.1, but that is from a long time ago). I am 25 years old. |

Does your University's accounting program have a good reputation? What percentage of students from your school get recruited into large accounting firms?
These questions might be important factors for your situation. One thing I can tell you is you should be pursuing a MACC in accounting instead of taking undergraduate accounting courses.
