I was talking with a friend of mine. We're both studying accounting. My friends brother has been at PwC for a few years, and related the following:
Male recruiters will interview many students for internships. Sometimes they will think a female student is "hot" or something, and offers them the internship over more qualified applicants.
Then, these guys get the benefit of having a "hot" new friend in their office for the summer. The goal is then to hang out with the girl.
Also, the example I was told about involved a married recruiter.
Has anyone noticed this? Is this a problem, or an isolated thing? |

Recruiters, sales managers, the general manager at your local McDonald's...the list goes on and on. Who doesn't favor attractive people? After all, this is a realationship-based business. However, the bottom line is the bottom line. Wheather you are a man or a woman; you have got to make the company money$$$$$
