I'm 2 years from getting my Masters degree in accounting. I'm at the point where I need to start thinking about whether to specialize in tax or professional (audit).

One thing I have noticed so far is that things go much smoother if the client sees you as a colleague rather than someone who is auditing their asses off to find mistakes. If you pay attention to the words you use, the tone of your speech, and your general attitude you don't need to have any worries.
