Does anyone have any thoughts on the Managerial vs. Specialist career tracks in Services? I will need to make a decision soon about the track. Generally I would expect more opportunities in Managerial in the long run. But in a recent community meeting there were references to an increased focus on specialization, so I wonder if that will be shifting. I want to maximize long term career opportunities and feel that I could perform in either capacity. |

If "specialist" truly comes into fruitation (did I use that right?), ill be VERY suprised.
They have been talking about the two splits for YEARS now- at least 3-4 years. And I havent seen anything that shows effort in that direction.
That being said, IF, there truly is a difference, pick Managerial. Management is really the only way to move up.
