In Reply To: I received a verbal offer at Toronto office for a consultant position. My compensation is in mid-80s and I have 8 years experience in Information Systems; about 2 years in consulting; and work as a Senior Tech. Analyst. Also, I would appreciate if anyone has any experience or suggestions for the following questions: a) When do you discuss the details of the offer with HR (counter offer)? - verbally or after one receives a written offer b) What are the benefits commonly negotiable - sign-on bonus, vacation, etc. c) What is the likely consultant level/band I can realistically expect to be at? - C2 or C3 (don't know this yet) Thanks in advance to everyone
Message: First, is that mid 80s in canadian or us dollars ? I think it's a pretty good offer based on your experience. The recruiter normally asks for your input / feedback after the initial verbal offer and any counter offers can be brought up at this time or after you think it over. It is my understanding that the salary, signing bonus are pretty much the only negotiable items.
