In Reply To: Most people who post on this board have some sort of problem/agenda/or at the very least unique "perspective." You don't generally find too many fat and happy folks here. I'm happy with the pay, but think the culture is just awful. So take it with a grain of salt. I have personally found that experienced hires are happiest with the pay. Those that work their way up in the firm are a captive market, and over the years, the raises don't equal what someone with equivalent experience would get coming in the door. I will reiterate what I said before - unless you really, really, really want a consulting career and would do anything to walk in the door - an offer of less than what you earn generally means HR does not place a high value on your saying yes. Especially given that good experienced people are often offered a premium to come onboard.
Message: Experienced Hires, especially those coming in with at least 8-10 years of experience generally get very very good salaries at Accenture. However, I think that most analysts and consultants (especially consultants who have worked their way up from the analyst level within Accenture) are generally paid far below market value (I can't tell you how many people I know that leave every year for much better paying jobs, and now work much less hours elsewhere). This group makes up more than half of Accenture's consulting workforce.
