a) Poster who mentioned one pair of shoes - excellent idea. Just pack clothes that match shoes
b) Same with a blazer if you need one. Wear it on the plane - don't pack it. You only need one - so make sure you own a good neutral blazer
c) All socks and underwear can almost always fit inside pair of tennis shoes if you squish
d) Have a cosmetic bag just for the road - so you don't have to unpack toiletries, etc. every single time you get to your hotel
e) Limit the amount of non-work clothing. If you work out, be gross and bring one set of everything and re-wear. Who will notice?
Most hotels are business friendly. All depends how you definte it. I'm a Marriott person. Others swear by Hilton. They are all pretty much the same for long-term travel. |

That's all good stuff here. I'm surprised there aren't any blogs / sites mentioning these kinds of tips and advice for the travelling consultant. Do you guys know of any ?
Also, nowadays even the carry on baggage is becoming a pain. I've had many instances, especially on continental where the overhead compartments were full even before the flight was half occupied. I guess you have to either get elite status or get the later rows to secure some baggage space.
