In Reply To: Previous post is one good way. Garment bags (aka 'hanging bag thingy') can be taken onto a plane without checking in. Though, things get kinda squished in a garment bag, and you have to iron anyway. Shower thing doesn't work all the time and can take too long. But I take 2-3 weeks worth of clothes for traveling. Even if you have to check in a bag once. At the end of the week, Leave your stuff in hotel after checkout. You can leave all that in a hotel storage or back room. For already used clothes, take them to drycleaner in the city where you traveled to. Don't let the hotel do it for you because they will charge you an arm and a leg. When you fly back into work, just pick them up on your way back to hotel. Also..find hotels that have free or quarter washer and dryer, for unmentionables. Most big hotel chains do have them for guests and almost all extended stay type hotels do have them for long term guests. You might think that all this is too much to handle, especially in a city that you don't know, but it saves loads of time in not having to carry anything through the airport. Also, if you have a desktop or another laptop at home, don't even bother to bring your accenture laptop with you through the airport. Just leave it locked at the client site. You can email yourself any important files via accenture email or with a pen drive. Just my thoughts. I am a manager and have been traveling for 8 years at accenture. You need to make it easy otherwise you will hate traveling every week. Monday mornings and Thursday/Friday afternoons spent on traveling, become normal.
Message: on a side note, what are the different business friendly hotels you would prefer. I am getting all these details to be more pro-active(and ofcourse enroll in their frequent guest plans etc)
