Do you know what business you are in? Let me refresh your memory you are in consulting. I am an analyst and I make $55000 however, my hourly rate is $150hr which comes out to be like $300,000a year assuming I am working on a 1year project. From me alone, partners get 536% return. Also, some clients don??t pay over time and you cant charge the client for any overtime; even though you have to work overtime on the project and these sr.mangers get bonuses b/c they turned in a project within the allotted timeframe however, it was not mentioned that employees worked 80hr weeks and charged 40hrs and charged the remaining hours to a different charge code not the project charge code. With your mentality you should try applying to the government. So don??t give this Integrity BULLSHIT |

There is no law or moral code that requires companies to give services away at cost. ACN charges what the client will pay and they pay you what the labor market demands. Clients are buying more than you time and service for that $150 rate. If you think you can go free lance in order to attempt capturing more of the $150 an hour, go for it.
As for ghosting hours: if your time is charged to another number, its probably not ghosting. What may be happening is the time is being tracked as a negotiating point for additional work w/ the client or the project is a loss leader and the overtime is being accounted for at the client level. No if the time wasn't being tracked at all you'd have a much stronger point.
