If you're a consultant/manager/senior man, and you know you are rolling off, then you email all of your old contacts to see what's about.
You should only need your scheduler once, and that's for your first project. From then on, you generally find your own projects through your contacts, and more often than not, roll off because there is a project you want to join, not because your current project wants to get rid of you.
anybody on the bench (not just new analysts) will be pushed for whatever is chargeable, despite skill/location/interests
