I was told there will be 3 day orientation for new hires(that is a lot compared to the 4 hrs orientation i got from present employer).
Then you are off to update resume and contact your HR assigned rep etc. What else can be expected in this period of apparent hibernation??? |

once your body hair has been shaved, you've completed the delousing process, you can expect between 3 days and 3 weeks of initial training (depending on OG) followed by 2 weeks of new analyst training in St Charles ( I believe all geographies have moved this back from the old ??6-month later?? approach).
You will be bombarded with information during this time, with everything from business and industry information to the Accenture methodology to coding techniques to the Accenture methodology to team leading and work management to the Accenture methodology. But don??t worry to remember everything; they will staple the ADM handbook to your forehead on the last day.
Expect to have a great time at Analyst school in Chicago, the lessons can be a little dull at times, but you will find one of the great (or debatably terrible) things about Accenture ??the ability to end up in a group of 10 people, all of whom you find it very easy to get on with, and 90% of which you have identifiable similarities (beyond the usual ice-breaker mumblings of ??we??ve both got two legs??, ??we??re both in St Charles?? or ??we both rely on oxygen to live??).
First day on a project will be awkward and a little uncomfortable, as you??ll probably be in a new town, working with new people, and in a new work culture. This will get easier over time, and you??ll find that on the second day, you??ll be staggering home from the pup with your manager, singing Danny Boy or American Pie!
All in all, enter with a positive attitude, and you??ll do well.
Good luck!
