Thanks everyone for lining up the levels. Now the 2nd part of my question was:
If someone was to take a "transfer" from consulting to services (perhaps to reduce travel or whatever reason might be) would they have to take a pay cut? How much?
For example say M2-M3 making 100K in consulting, what pay should he expect in Services? |

One of two things will occur:
1. either you can transfer in a the same salary rate.
2. the option of transferring in wont happen due to the fact that you make "too much" money.
Knowing how HR works, I highly doubt an option of taking a pay cut to transfer in will be "allowed".
