That's good info, treznor.
What exactly is status at hotels ? I'm aware of miles, elite status, e.t.c. for arillines and rental cars. But, what exactly can hotels offer when you are a frequent guest of theirs besides free stays ?
Also, when you're on a project for an extended period of time, does ACC use long term stays that you can use and reside and leave your stuff rather than checking out and in of hotels every weekend ? If so, how long is that typical project ? |

the free stays are very important for vacations, etc. Also, Marriott allows you to take your hotel points and convert them to free merchandise, plane tickets, etc.
Status offers other benefits. Speaking for Marriott - you get a free bottle of wine with each visit. Also, there is a concierge room with free breakfast (quite good!) and dinner/snack. That allows you to pocket a lot of your per diem rather than spend it on meals. You also get a nicer room, priority booking, etc.
