Thanks- Do you think that there are other consulting firms that would value a PhD more highly? The PhD is in Cognition and Learning and I was hoping that it would be attractive for internal/external training consulting, or does the nature of the degree not make a difference whatsoever? |

a specialist HR firm such as Mercer. There are also lots of boutique firms, too. Your degree will make you look attractive but not do much once you are in the door.
ACN barely gives credence to a masters degree, much less a PhD. It is a fairly anti-intellectual kind of place.
BTW, I have a PhD in a social science. Never did a blessed bit of good for me, though it sure looks nice on my business card.
