Message: I am not ACN HR, but I am an employee - unlike the previous post who has been 'advising' you. His facile responses make it clear he is ignorant of the company's structure, and is more likely a competitor or bitter ex-employee, something not unusual in the Vault. F&PM IS a Business Consulting capality group. It IS different from FSI - which is an industry group. Implementing 'financial systems' could be something our clients ask us to do - but this is by no means all that you could be exposed to - especially in F&PM. Business Consulting work tends to come ahead of our SI projects, and often involves the diagnostic, value targeting or business case analysis needed to properly position the SI job. In my experience, Analysts in Business Consulting generally DO get more analytical roles we'd generally see from a McK or Bain. That said, ACN is not in the same league as the premier strategy firms but ACN Business Consulting plus a reputable MBA could make you quite marketable for the strat firms in a few years. Ultimately your call but don't get fooled by some of the BS you read on this site.
