Yeah, confirming interview or face to face interview are basically informative and informal Q&A type where you get to learn more about the firm and your group from a senior level person. Best way is to really know your stuff well about the company and ask great questions. Salary was not mentioned in my case as usually, it's done by HR and not the senior level person you'll be talking to. Hope that helps.
