In Reply To: You are a rarity at the firm. We don't get a lot of PHDs, and especially from Ivy League school. With 1.5 years experience + PHD, I would hope you come in as a consultant and not an analyst. As for actual work, I would expect that your PHD is absolutely useless with us in the firm. Sorry, but that is reality. As for salary, I would expect somewhere between 60 to 70 in Boston, which is like 50-60 elsewhere with lower cost of living. BUT, they may give you 70-80 range because you have a higher degree and from an ivy school. Not certain on these figures, but all ballpark ranges for you to digest. If you are expecting higher, accenture really doesn't care that you have a PHD.
Message: Your education is useless - but will look nice in proposals, etc when partners are pitching work.
