Why go unemployed for several months when you could just take a job with some other company, now. 6 to 12 months from now, since you'd already be employed somewhere, finding a job at Accenture would become a moot point.
If ACN was some top company, like GE or McKinsey or you were waiting to get into some management intern program at some company or you were waiting to get into, say, the loan officer training program at Citicorp or Washington Mutual, that would be worth waiting for. But all you are waiting for is a generic entry level IT job. There are lots of companies that offer that. |

Why are waiting on a single company for a job? This isn't college, where you waiting to "get in" to the best school and this will affect your life for the rest of your life. It's just a job. It's not like if you "get in" to Accenture you've made it into some competitive place or that you are going get some skills or experience or career opportunties that aren't available at hundreds at other companies.
I sure hope you've been interviewing at more than one place. You can't just send a single resume to a single company who happens to be, alphabetically, the first company on the list.
