I'm wondering what doors an analyst position will open for me after a couple of years on the job. Will two years at Accenture ever allow me to move into a more strategic business role down the road? or will the experience really only set me up for more technology-related work?
What are some of the different routes taken by analysts after their time at Accenture? The reason why I ask is that I see myself in more of a strategic role in the future. I lack technology understanding and realize it would be an excellent asset as I move on. Can Accenture train me to be a technology consultant and still set me up for a strategy/management role in the future?

There is no moving from the main business of ACN(IT services, IT outsourcing and computer programming) to the little management consulting group. OK, maybe 3 or 4 out of 70 or 80 thousand IT implementersn at ACN may leave the company, somehow make a major career change, then re-apply to the company in the other group but, for all intents and purposes, it doesn't happen.
