I have 2.5 Years of .NET, Java, and C++ experience, would they be interested in hiring me as an Analyst? If so would I get a higher starting salary due to my Software Engineering Background? Would more be expected of me? Would I be trained differently? |

I assume you are referring to the Consulting workforce.
I had 18 months consulting experience and came in as an A1 which was a mistake. Your experience is far above what a "fresh" analyst would have. Some have never even programmed before.
I would not come in as a fresh analyst (i.e. A1) if I were you. I would look to come in as at least an A2 (looking to make it to C1 in 6-12 months - keep in mind there are only promotion points every September which are based on June-May performance periods). Ideally, I'd push to come in as a first year consultant (C1) at least.
Of course, it depends how much you are willing to compromise to have ACN on your CV.
The starting salary would be based on the level you come in at.
