In Reply To: I currently make 60K base with about a 10% annual bonus. I will get an increase next month but I am not certain as to what that increase will be- likely in the ballpark of 4%. I have been out of school for almost three years. The position is with the Supply Chain group and I will be based out of Chicago. Should I be looking at the 70-75 range? Also, should you expect a bonus with the offer only if you are relocating? Many thanks.
Message: Given the location and group, combined with your current salary and bonuses, 70-75 is "ok" if you are coming in as a Consultant. Consider opening it up and say 70-80, and letting 75 be your magic number. Those numbers aren't much more than you're making now so you'll need to decide if it's worth it to make the jump (don't underestimate the implications of unpaid travel time, the stress of travel, longer working hours, and the major shift in work/life balance if you're not currently in consulting). Other opinions?
