Hello:
I just got an offer for the Business Intelligence group out of Southern California. I think it's a technology solutions workforce.
It's 60K, no mention of any bonuses. I have 3 years of exp out of college doing a bit of .net and sql at a mortgage lender.
Is this a fair offer? |

You need to confirm if this is Solutions Workforce, Services Workforce, or Consulting Workforce. If it is Consulting, it's "just okay" but you could do better elsewhere, especially if you will have to travel. If it's Services Workforce, again, it's just okay. If it's Solutions Workforce, the salary is very high and the client must have been in great need of your services.
If this role is in Services or Solutions, be sure you're okay with doing the button-pushing work and putting in some very long hours for essentially the duration of your time with the company because your prospects for moving up to any kind of management position are virtually nonexistent (despite the "official" recruiting information, since some of us have actually been there). Another caveat is that if you're in Services and your role is eliminated, your job will be gone too.
