I don't know why people get so tied up with this question. I mean if it were the company and things were slow they would be willing to let you go in an instant. But I guess we as humans do have some feelings in terms of the relationship we built with others, and the unknown (what life is outside of ACN). If you already started towards the step of leaving then you already have your reasons for leaving. DC Vs ACN....I mean that is crap that is what some analyst, cons, mgrs, senior mgrs, partners talk about because they are at this end. I am sure if they were in DC they would be saying the same thing.
If it is more money, and better benefits then why not take the chance and go for it. It is all up to you to make the ultimate decision. I have loyalty for the company as long as it is also loyal to me. Remember that relationship has to exist both ways. So if you feel that you are not getting compensated fairly, then why not take the next step. As a professional, I am sure I wouldn't want to be in a place I don't want to be in and I am sure the people who I work with would want me to genuinely be happy and succesful.
I think people who join out of school have difficulty making this decision mainly because of the unknown. They are not sure what life is like outside of ACN. I admit this is a great company to start but if you feel you need to leave, for any reason then you have to take chances in life. I worked for another company, came here and who knows what the future may bring me. But as far as I can see, I have my health, I have grown and each experience I have I try to make the best of it. And like you would in any project if it doesn't work out you look for another. Life outside of ACN goes on, there are people who are happy outside of ACN and manage to do ok.
You have to create a career plan for yourself and change it anytime you feel you want to change your career path/goal.
