Thanks guys for that info.
I get the per diems, miles, travel perks, consultant lifestyle, consulting industry and all that stuff but here's my point: how do you compare an industry job, maybe a desk job with that compared to a let's say 100% travel job.
I mean, there is a difference right ? obviously, you'll be spending more time, effort and your resources on the travel job and it'll take a bigger toll on you.
What's the price for that and how is it factored into the salary ?

depends on you. How much is it worth to you? For example, you are miserable at home and have no life. So being on the road is cool. Or you are happy at home - but going on the road is worth it because of the money. A 20% bump to me may be a 10% bump in salary to another person. $10k for an analyst is a lot of money. For a senior manager, maybe not.
I'm afraid you won't get any anwers more specific than that.
