I'm a consultant who started with ACN with previous work experience...thus being a little older than my peers. I'm having a serious problem with younger team leads and managers. While they may be excellent at executing job specific tasks, I find that many lack the maturity and wisdom to manage people. They don't know what to do outside of the Accenture text book. Anyone else faced this problem? |

because these managers and execs, who have climbed ACN's ladder from college, don't seem to realize that they have peoples lives...MY LIFE...in their hand. I saw one of my team leads writing a review, and I was astonished at how they wrote verbatum(sp) what was in "the checklist," not deviating and providing their own insight and ideas. I'm using my accenture opportunity as a stepping stone, but this is not how I want to manage people. Who knows, I may not get promoted because I didn't go have beer with the team....
