There are lots of non-IT projects. But they tend to be shorter in duration and you have to know someone (usually) to get on them. In the end, career longevity is built around getting on a longer implementation. As a new hire, even as a lower-level experienced hire (consultant/manager) don't underestimate how little power you have. You usually have to take what you are given unless you have a darned good reason (i.e.: wife undergoing chemotherapy so I can't travel too far versus "that isn't the kind of work I want to do).
So you can keep posting and seeking more opinions - kind of like a terminally ill patient shopping for a new diagnosis - or you can pretty much take the word of experienced people who know the deal.
On every project there is a need for functional people - do your best to align yourself with those roles. |

"just a blaze". You are like a lot of new analysts, who come in with thoughts of grandeur.
But you need to understand, what this company is about. Don't listen to what an HR person or recruiter tells you. Their job is to get you in the firm. It is YOUR responsibility to research what the company does, besides the website and the tiger woods ads.
Saying, that you don't want to do "IT work", is like working at McDonalds and not wanting to serve fries.
This is an IT Services company. There is parts where they do 'Business consulting' or 'Strategy' or 'F&PM', ETC ETC ETC, but the end goal is something IT related. But remember, IT can mean many different things. That doesn't mean that you will be programming, but it can be functional related roles where you understand what a business department is currently doing, and what needs to happen as a result of a new software etc etc.
Look beyond the hype. If you are still clueless, then you need to do some more research. Look for news articles on accenture in a search engine and they will show you the type of work that we sell and do.
