I received an offer from Accenture in their nyc office for their consulting analyst program (new hire out of college) and recently accepted it. I know that Accenture has a business consulting capability group, which is comprised of strategy, finance and performance management, human performance, supply chain management, etc.
I don't really want to be pushed into an IT role in my first job, as my main competency/interest is finance/business. I am wondering what are my chances of getting into the business consulting capability group (not strategy - i know that it has a separate interview process) vs getting into business and systems integration, which i do not really want to do.
What are some of the responsibilities/projects of a business consulting (minus strategy) analyst? Will i be able to get into this group? Have I made the right decision to join ACN, or am I expecting something that will not happen?
Please help....
