In Reply To: I am sure you have justified it to yourself why the company owes you $138k for not working. It's not that impressive through is it. What did you do with that last 10 months apart from figuring out how to beat the system (not hard as it's based on the premise that people won't do what you did)? Sleep late, surf the internet, play with action figures until dawn? Or maybe I am doing you a disservice and you actually spent the time doing something you have a passion for or providing a valuable public service. The only possible outcome from your actions is that the company will tighten up the system so that people cannot take advantage like you did (and perhaps denying someone who needs the bench time to find the right role in the process). Probably not though, my guess is you will have had no impact whatsoever. $138k for 10 months of your life is cheap. Some people have to do whatever job just to survive, others have the luxury of the opportunity to find work we enjoy (at least most of the time). If that's not the case then go create it or go find it, but don't sell yourself for just $138k.
Message: I took the job with ACN. Found I didn't like the company. Wanted some time to do the MCAT review. Took advantage of the down time. However you slice it - $138k worked out very well for me. They should tighten up the system. I knew a whole bunch of similarily on the bench people who hated the company and were just waiting to be let go. Big deal.
